As Vintage as Vintage Can Be

We loved all the hand made vintage details that Becky incorporated into her wedding flowers. She detailed the mason jars with burlap, lace and vintage brooches. We filled these with hydrangea, stock, roses and greens and hung them from shepherd's hooks down the aisle. She collected antique luggage and lace doilies and had them staged on an vintage desk with a cute collection of potted plants to create her adorable altar. Inside the reception were even more fun details like the handmade butcher paper book covers that created a platform for the floral centerpieces. Lastly, the bride and groom's chairs were lovingly labeled with darling burlap signs. It was, if we may be so bold, as vintage as vintage can be!

Pink Chic

Our lovely bride Nicole chose a profusion of pinks for her wedding flowers, bridesmaid dresses and even for the groomsmen's shirts. We loved it all, even cute intern Kiley who had to ride in the back of the delivery van holding on to the tall arrangements all the way to Longmont.

Pink is so very Chic!

Chair Ties? Yeah, We Do That Too!

We had the privilege of working at The Wooden Table restaurant for a small wedding reception this past weekend. The space is lovely and open with neutral colors which allowed us to decorate with bright, vibrant colors and really bring out the fun on these table tops. Our bride's mother provided antique sterling silver tea pots, creamers and sugar bowls for us to fill with gorgeous flowers. And yes, we tied 70 chair tied into bows and it was exhausting! But the over all effect was lovely! Thanks to All Well Rents for the linens.

Magical Vintage Inspired Wedding Flowers at The Boettcher Mansion

Despite many challenges, including the bride's limo breaking down half way up Look Out Mountain and having to hitchhike to her own wedding, Mandy and her groom met at the altar and said "I do" with smiles on their faces. We loved working on this romantic, vintage-inspired wedding with such a wonderful, fun-loving couple.

A Trip to the Islands

We recently returned from our annual trip to Hawaii with a new appreciation for the term "Rainiest place on earth". The sky was heavy with clouds and it rained, sideways, for most of our trip. We hunkered down, wore all the clothes we brought with us all at one time, visited an orchid farm on one sunny afternoon, and beach combed to our hearts content. It was lovely, in spite of the state of emergency declared by the governor, the tornado, the softball sized hail, and the roads & bridges that were washed out.

Spring Wedding Flowers in Bloom at The Seawell Grand Ballroom

Brilliant Blooms had the opportunity to work at the stunning and extremely well-run Seawell Grand Ballroom this past Sunday at their Inaugural Wedding Showcase and Fashion Show.
We chose to fill our designs with a variety of early spring flowers like peonies, hyacinth, tulips, daffodils, scabiosa and chamomile for their beautiful fragrance and rarity. Paired with a chandelier of umbrellas from Splendor for Your Guests, delectables from Gateaux Pastries, and rental items like mismatched vintage china, depression glass cake plates, and antique keys from A Vintage Affair our display was a hit!

Our New Portfolio of Wedding Flowers

Our gorgeous new portfolio book just appeared and we cannot stop gazing upon it!
The new book includes our best work yet and we would love to share it with you.
Some stunning highlights are pictured above including a white-tipped burgundy dahlia bride's bouquet, an adorable pink and brown hydrangea & fiddle head fern shoot centerpiece accented with buttons, a deep purple bouquet including wheat and lavender, a bright fall floral centerpiece designed inside a real pumpkin & a vintage hat box filled with lush garden roses, purple hydrangea & monkshood.
