Everything Different, But The Same...

Britany wanted all of her wedding flowers to be different, but the same. She also wanted lily pads and candles floating in her pool. To create 7 bouquets. 2 altarpieces, an 30 centerpieces that were all different, but the same, was a bit of a challenge. I think we did pretty well though. My favorite flower is the tall one in the pool.

Gray and Yellow IS this Season's Hot Color Combo

Jen and Wes were the embodiment of love and joy on their wedding day at The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera. We love their spirit and their color scheme. The bridesmaids and groomsmen wore heather gray and the decor was white and bright yellow. Love!

Oh How We Love The Spring

Spring Song by Robert Louis Stevenson
The air was full of sun and birds,
The fresh air sparkled clearly.
Remembrance wakened in my heart
And I knew I loved her dearly.

The fallows and the leafless trees
And all my spirit tingled.
My earliest thought of love, and Spring's
First puff of perfume mingled.

In my still heart the thoughts awoke,
Came lone by lone together -
Say, birds and Sun and Spring, is Love
A mere affair of weather?

Button, Button, Who's Got the Button?

We loved these casual wedding flowers in Boulder so much that we just had to share! The wedding flowers were wild and whimsical, including sunflowers, white daisy mums and dried yarrow. Our beautiful bride requested vase filler made of buttons! We added these to the wedding flowers in each reception centerpiece and the altarpieces at the wedding ceremony for a quirky and fun blast of color and texture.

Featured Wedding: Bethy and Matt

All things white and platinum were the order of the day for this simply elegant wedding in downtown Denver. Bethy chose fragrant gardenias, feathery lisianthus, ivory roses, silver brunia berries and velvety soft dusty miller for her bridal bouquet. Matt's boutonniere was a simple cluster of silver brunia berries finished with a platinum satin ribbon wrapped around the stems. The wedding ceremony flowers needed to make a big statement in the vaulted and highly decorated church, so we used white hydrangea, Siberian lilies, Queen Ann's Lace, locally grown snapdragons and dramatically white painted curly willow for as much height as we could muster.

Our thanks go out to Bethy and Matt for being truly fabulous clients. Your wedding day was gorgeous, joyful and filled with love. We could just see the happiness flowing from you on your once-in-a-lifetime day!

Think You Don't Need a Wedding Coordinator? Well, You Do!

To all of you out there who think you don't need or can't afford a wedding coordinator my questions is this: Can you afford NOT to have one? The answer is most assuredly no.

You and your groom will probably know what you are supposed to be doing on your wedding day and you will most likely do those things in a timely fashion. However, the other 100+ people involved in your once-in-a-lifetime event may or may not act accordingly. This is where a talented Wedding Coordinator comes in handy, and we have the perfect recommendation for you. Muse Events, headed by TC Decker, is THE place to find all the help you need.

Whether you want someone to guide you through the entire wedding planning process or just a super organized, day of the wedding go-to-girl, Muse Events will treat you and all of your guests with respect and help you create the fabulous wedding day you deserve!

This Seasons' HOT Color Combo

This season many, many brides will choose navy and hot pink as the color scheme for their wedding flowers. Above are some photos of work that've done recently to showcase this fun and festive shade of pink. Anemones, featured in the bouquet and centerpiece, are early spring flowers and won't be available for summer and fall events. But, there are lots of other choices for brides who want to incorporate this bright and bold color into their Denver wedding flowers.

Learning is Good

I just attended a fabulous seminar all about wedding flowers in Denver and learned more than I ever could have imagined! It's so nice to see what other florists are doing these days and to watch the designs come to life before your eyes. The instructor was amazing! She showed us so many new techniques, innovative arrangements and color combinations that I felt exhausted by the end of it all.
Today, however, I feel refreshed and excited to put my new knowledge into practice and create something stunning and truly unique for each of my brides. Take a look at the incredible creations the instructor shared with us...and let me know what you think.
