This Seasons' HOT Color Combo

This season many, many brides will choose navy and hot pink as the color scheme for their wedding flowers. Learning is Good

I just attended a fabulous seminar all about wedding flowers in Denver and learned more than I ever could have imagined! It's so nice to see what other florists are doing these days and to watch the designs come to life before your eyes. The instructor was amazing! She showed us so many new techniques, innovative arrangements and color combinations that I felt exhausted by the end of it all.

Today, however, I feel refreshed and excited to put my new knowledge into practice and create something stunning and truly unique for each of my brides. Take a look at the incredible creations the instructor shared with us...and let me know what you think.

Incorporating vintage jewelry, feathers of all kinds and soft miniature veils her pieces are perfect for the a fun evening out, bridesmaid gifts or for the sophistocated bride looking for just the right accessory. Kori also provides on-site hair and makeup design for weddings and other special occassions. She is a genuinely talented and has been compared to Sarah Gabriel, but with attitude.

Fabulous Wedding Flowers are Within Your Reach

You've been planning this day ever since you were 5 years old, so make it count! Use your favorite color to accent your dress, shoes, bouquet and invitations. Serve your favorite wine at the reception. Use your favorite flowers to show off your unique flare!

Having a fabulous wedding does not have to bankrupt you or your parents. There are lots of ways to incorporate luxury into your event without going overboard. Spend time looking through books, magazines and websites for photos of floral designs and color schemes that you LOVE. Then, schedule an appointment with several florists. Bring all of your visual aids to your consultations and ask each florist to come up with a proposal that is specific to your needs. Choose a florist who listens to your ideas, is knowledgable about the products they offer, and makes you feel confident in their ability to provide exqusite floral designs for your wedding day.

Of course, using seasonal blooms will help to keep costs under control and ensure that your arrangements remain fresh all day. But, you don't have to settle for whatever will be on hand. Ask your florist to incorporate specialty flowers, such as cymbidium or dendrobium orchids into your bouquet. These are available year round and in a variety of colors. Yes, they can be pricey, but when used sparingly they add a touch of elegance and grace. Avoid items such as baby's breath, leather leaf and carnations. These make your arrangements look plain and ordinary. Which is the opposite of what you want on your wedding day!
